I mean, yes, a language has to evolve, and expand, and borrow words and all that. But why can't the source be a regular human tongue, rather than this ineffable abomination that's all schwim and diphthongs?

Это было бы буквальным переводом англ. player. Но ты права, по-русски так привыкли называть только проигрыватель пластинок, да и то не всякий.

Я голосую за плеер, это выглядит вполне естественно по-русски. Вот по-болгарски как ни напиши, все плохо.
