Talking of sixes, and this being a Saturday:

In Prague (as most elsewhere) means of public transportation have different schedules on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The schedules are labelled in words and with icons: two crossed hammers for a pracovní den, a six in a circle (‘➅’) for sobota and a Roman cross (‘✝’) for neděle.

As in,

[Five] days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[Of the sixth day naught can be said, save that it is the sixth];
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of [Jesus Christ] thy God.

(I suppose ‘✡’ would've been too much?)

Nice observation. But I'm guessing my computer isn't reading the symbol in the sentence "I suppose __ would've been too much?" What is it?

Don't you have Arial Unicode MS installed? Do you see the Roman cross?

No, I don't see the cross and I probably don't have whatever it is installed, and even if I did, my computer's going down the drain lately and has trouble reading all sorts of things that it could read before. Anyway, it's funny you should mention the David star. I was in a room with an anti-Semite the other day, and I drew a David star with my husband's initial in it, a wheel with my initial in it, and a heart around them on the window (in the condensation with my finger) - just to remind him who he was dealing with ;-) I like amusing myself. Yes, I think [star] on the schedule would have been too much :-)
