ASTUCCI PENICI “HOLIM” (Nuova Guinea)
L’Holìm è un copripene tuttora usato dagli uomini della Tribù Lani (o Dani occidentali) ricavato da una varietà di zucchina coltivata a pergola in prossimità dei villaggi. Per far crescere diritta la zucchina, veniva legato un sasso all’estremità e raggiunta la lunghezza desiderata veniva staccata dalla pianta e privata del midollo. Gli Holìm oltre che copripene potevano essere usati come porta tabacco o per piccoli oggetti.

“PANNOLINI” IN LEGNO (Afghanistan XX Sec.)
Questi curiosi oggetti di legno, erano utilizzati dalle popolazioni afghane durante la guerra, in mancanza di pannolini per bambini. Venivano legati sotto i genitali dei piccoli per deviare l’urina e come si può notare c’era la versione maschile (con una parte rialzata ed il foro più piccolo) e quella femminile.
